Default Do You Use Your Wii Fit for. . .

exercise? We wouldn't use a Wii to play games. DH and I have plenty of home gym equipment, but we don't USE any of it. Does the Wii Fit actually make it fun to get moving? We're both competetive, so I'm thinking something that allows us to compete might be fun. What has been your experience?

Yes, but it has gone in and out of use. Sometimes we use it regularly but then we kind of stop using it. It's fun and I enjoy knocking out dh's scores. Outdoor Challenge is another good one for getting the heartrate up.

Like any piece of exercise equipment, it's usually not used consistently.

I find the strength training stuff worthless. What it's good for is cardio. That's enough for most people anyways. I find it a lot more fun to do cardio on the Wii than to run on a treadmill.

When we tried the Wii fit, I felt it was mostly balancing games (really cute) but it didn't seem to make me break a sweat (maybe we didn't explore enough).

We just got ours on Friday. I like the step aerobics the best of the exercises so far. Then there are things like obstacle courses that are more game like that also are pretty good exercise. I've also explored the yoga a bit. I can't speak to whether it will get used consistently at his point.
