Default At what age can you give kids things like ecchinacea?

DS has a terrible cold, he just turned 2, and I started wondering if there's anything I can give him to boost his immune system, like ecchinacea or anything else.

Yep, Sears says for PREVENTION to take 250 mg once a day for children 6mths to 3 yrs. 8 weeks on and 2 weeks off to prevent recurrent illnesses or can use it continuously, parent can decide.

For TREATMENT: 500 mg for 6mth-3 yrs, 3x a day for 2 days then 250 mg 3x a day for 7 more days.
