Default Is anyone shocked by this....

I just got the CW Kids catalog and I was flipping through it..when I saw this bathing suit my jaw about dropped.

Now last summer my DD had a very MODEST bikini so I'm not opposed to them but I thought this was ridiculous!

um... yes. I would have a HUGE problem with my (theoretical) daughter wearing that!

Not really. But to me any bikini on a toddler just looks skanky to me. Not my style. A tankini, OK, or a 1/2 shirt that shows the belly button is OK with me but anything that pretty much only has boob (if they had them!) coverage is just way too little for a toddler.

I think it's raunchy. I don't think all bikinis are bad but I really dislike this one.

Oh my - my jaw literally dropped also. It's not just the skimpiness (although that's a big part), the ladybug top just skeeves me out. Ick.

I wouldn't like that on anyone, but would be more understanding on the 12 mo than the 6 yo they have sizes for. Blech.

But I don't have a daughter so taking it seriously is difficult for me.

Things like that totally compensate for any disappointment I have when clothes shopping for DS and seeing all the cute little dresses.

I've seen similar suits in the past with strawberries or apples in place of the ladybugs. I don't have any daughters, but couldn't imagine sending them out in what are essentially pasties. (At least the top didn't come with a matching g-string)
