Default what foods do you absolutely want to give your DC?

The avocado thread got me thinking that I haven't tried avacado again after the first time when DS rejected it, and that was on my list of "must-haves". I'm wondering what other foods I've forgotten. Please share the foods that you absolutely want your kids to try and eat.

    thanks,

I'm happy with good, ethnic food. I'd much rather he want to go out for Indian, Thai or sushi than McDonald's. I want them to be adventurous eaters.

I really want ds2 to eat soup. Ds1 will not eat soup and it drives me crazy!

I'd like my kids to try everything as the opportunity arises.

I try to give DS (age 20 months) a wide variety of grains for his morning cereal. Sometimes I'll make oatmeal but I also do rye, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth, bulgur, spelt etc. and I mix in some flaxseed or wheat germ.

We also give him fish about once a week. Sometimes he eats it, sometimes not, but we keep offering. I don't eat fish myself but I'd like him to.
