Is YoBaby Yogurt Different From...

regular organic whole milk full fat yogurt? DS (10 mos) polished off his first six-pack of YoBaby plain yogurt. I went to two stores today and could only find the flavored YoBaby. I wound up buying Stonyfield organic whole milk full fat cream-on-top yogurt. Is YoBaby different or better for babies? OR is "adult" yogurt in any way harmful to a baby? I went to their website and couldn't really tell if YoBaby is different.

Nope, it should be completely fine and the same. I sometimes just bought a big container of yogurt vs the mini ones.

I have always given my children regular whole fat yogurt. IMO, baby yogurt is just clever marketing and more expensive.

It is paying for convenience - easy to grab and pack if you have to provide you child's own daycare meals and snacks.

We give our DS YoBaby but thats only because in my town it's rather difficult to find many foods that are organic and it's basically our only choice.

I think yobaby has more added sugar than regular adult organic yogurt.

Beware of the Peach flavor drinkable yogurt it STAINS horribly

As long as it's a full-fat yogurt, there's not a big difference except packaging.

We use both. The regular, plain stuff is good to stir leftover puree fruit into. The indi packs are great for travel, plus they've given my DH a good idea of portion size.

I will say I rue the day I started giving my DD fruit-flavored yogurt. She was perfectly happy with plain until she tasted strawberry. Now she'll have plain *sometimes* but much prefers the sweet stuff.

As long as the adult yogurt is full fat, it's the same. Sometimes it can't be hard to find full fat adult yogurt since people like the low fat and nonfat versions. I say if your DC is eating yogurt regularly enough, buy the big size as it will save you tons of money.

We get this awesome yogurt from Seven Stars Farm - full fat, cream top and DS loves it! It only comes in the big containers.
