Default Radian 65 lap belt in 2008 Sienna tips?

Anyone have any tips for getting a good lap belt install with a Radian 65 in an 08 Toyota Sienna? I can get a great solid install with LATCH but for whatever reason I can't get a decent install using the lap belt and Zach is getting close to lap belt weight. Thanks in advance.

In my Ody, I found it helped to recline the vehicle seatback and then bring it upright while I was kneeling in the seat. I'm not totally familiar with the Sienna. You could PM Quassee over on car-seat.org -- she has an Ody now, but used to have a newer Sienna. She's an instructor and a Canadian and US tech. Tell her Melissa told you to bug her. LOL. I have the same user name there too.

ETA: and I'm 99% sure she has/used to have a RN. I have 2 kicking around if she needs to test install for you. A friend of her's bought her Sienna, so she still has that vehicle to do installs in.

Yeah, I think the seatback recline trick should do it...as well as pulling UP on the shoulderbelt at the buckle side to really get the lapbelt cranked down tight (pull through the front of the seat, through those velcro lined slits in the cover if that helps you get more leverage). Put the RN itself into the recline mode if you haven't already. After you get it installed, pull the vehicle seatback back upright, top tether, and voila, should be good.

I use the recline install and then move seat to more upright position. For almost all my seats!
