Default Any use for single strollers with twins?

Good evening everyone. We have twin girls who are 5 months old. We recently bought a Baby Jogger City Elite Double and love it. We thought we would get a lighter double down the road. I am wondering, however, if anyone with twins has any use for single strollers? How well does it work to hook two singles together? I am looking at the Silver Cross Fizz on schnoop.com.

My friends who cheaped out and hooked singles together said it is no good. You're better off getting something that makes your life easier. I highly recommend the BJCMiniDouble as a great lightweight companion to the Elite Double. I have both, and although I prefer the Elite, there are times we find the mini really, really handy. I'd have posters help you find the lowest price and just go for it.

I used my single Chicco twice for doctor's appointments. I am glad I didn't buy an expensive single!

I've used my single Mac Quest a few times, but I had that stroller from my older 2 kids. I don't know if it gets enough use to warrant a purchase for just the twins.

Thanks for the input! I think we will just stick with the double strollers for now.

I have DC that are 11 mos apart, so sort of like twins. I have a double (BJCCD) and I also have two singles (Britax Blink and Graco Ipo). I use the double when I have both kids by myself, but if I have DH or someone else with me I will use the singles so that we don't have to hear the DC argue over who is touching who, etc.

We also used the singles when we were at WDW which was so smart on our part! (I learned that here).

I really like have both combinations. There are some times that I only have one of my DC with me so the single is helpful then too.

I think this is the key difference. With twins it's rare that you only have one DC with you. Literally I've only been alone with one twice outside of the house. Both times for doctor's appointments.

if i had twins i'd want a single- doubles are a pain to always be getting in/out of the car. you could carry one or hold ones hand and have the other in the stroller and a place for your stuff.
