My DH got a new car on 31 March. I spent all day 1 April researching a new carseat for the kids since the ones they were in didn't fit very well. I ended up ordering them each a Recaro Vivo. I knew when I ordered them that they were back-ordered. The site said to expect delivery in 2-3 weeks. So, yesterday, when I had still not received a tracking number, I contacted the company and was told to expect 3-4 more weeks. UGH! It's bad enough that they never bothered to send out an e-mail letting me know that they were going to take more time, but now this means that we will not have the seats for the 2 long trips we are taking in May.
So I figure out a temporary plan and end up ordering another carseat for my DD in the interim (which is supposed to arrive before the end of the week) and will put it in my car when the Recaro's come in. So I get online tonight to show my co-worker (because I was complaining about it yesterday and wanted to show her my solution) and the web-site is now showing "Backordered" for the new seat I just ordered! I looked at the receipt that I printed out with my order number on it and it shows "in-stock". I am so hoping that my order shipped before they ran out. The website says that if you order before 4pm that it will ship same day. I ordered before 2pm, so it SHOULD have shipped, but I have yet to receive any type of confirmation from the company or tracking number.
I better get the second new seat or else I am going to be really FRUSTRATED!!
