    Default Airline customer service vent

    Why is it so hard to talk to an actual person at an airline/customer service?? I have basic questions which are not on their website..yesterday I got the message of "we are unable to take calls due to volume, click" and right now I have been on hold for 27 minutes (still counting!). WTH!

    What I hate is when the website tells you you have to call, but the when you're on hold the recorded message tells you over and over about how you can do anything on the web site. I *especially* hate when they make you hear all about how awesome the website is before giving you the menu of buttons to press to get to the next step.

    And the ones where you can't just hit zero to talk to someone. You have to listent to the whole website spiel, THEN listen through all the menu options only to find out you need to hit 8 to talk to someone (or * or something else equally random.)

    Well I got through after 30minutes and was immediately transferred somewhere else only to be in queue another 15 minutes. I was ready to pass out from waiting!

    What I hate is the website says, "ask our virtual rep" (picture of lovely friendly girl) but then sends you on wild goose chase with irrelevant information. What happened to talking to an actual person without being tortured with long waits. Scared to see what the flight will be like.
