Thanks for dropping me in a bind - two days before school starts

I was so excited the past two weeks to have found someone to carpool with for school. I've known her in the neighborhood for several years. My DS is a 1st grader and she'll have a K student this year in the neighborhood school. She lives about 3/4 of a mile from the school and I'm 1/4 mile farther away in the same neighborhood. I can take kids in the morning without a problem, but was really looking for someone to bring DS home. I have an infant on a two nap a day schedule that falls right at afternoon pick-up.

Yep, you guessed it, she flakes on me tonight in an e-mail. I am so PO'd right now. I will have to be on the hunt tomorrow for someone to make arrangements with before Wednesday. Ugh, double ugh.

That sucks. And the fact that it was via email is an especially nice touch. I hope you fond someone a LOT more considerate.
