Default CL question--wants me to create an acct.

Has anyone had this happen--seems like when I post a bunch of stuff to CL, sooner or later, they prompt me to create an acct. I did this once, and then my ad never showed up, so I'm wary of doing it again. The annoying thing is, that I can't skip this step, so I type my whole ad up, and then get blocked by this page wanting me to set up an acct. Is this legitimate and does anyone know how to get around it.

I created an account on CL recently. I actually like it because you can manage/delete/relist all your listings easily. I used to hate having to save the email confirmation if I wanted to edit or delete my stuff.

I have an account and always post stuff from it so that I can edit and remove listings. Very handy.

I had an ad not show up once; I think it turned out to be an issue with the browser I was using. Chrome instead of IE, maybe?

OK, so it's not some sort of scam. It was so weird that the one time I signed up for an acct., my ad didn't show up.

Yeah, I've had it happen before. When I went to re-post it I realized I'd never gotten the Captcha screen the first time. I think whatever browser I was using blocked it but I couldn't tell.

For your ad not showing up - did you click on the confirmation email you got? Maybe you mistyped your email id or something?

Yes, I love having a CL account for the reasons a PP noted. Being able to relist with a couple of clicks is invaluable!

That could be, it could've just been a coincidence. I never received a confirmation email, so it made me feel I was sending my info to some unknown void. I didn't know you could relist just by clicking. That's cool. It seems my CL responses are so random, just depends on what people are looking for at the time. I was very happy to sell my almost new Baby Bjorn for $20. I know they're hard to move. I also sold my used once Medela breastpump for $150 (I preferred the Ameda). I just want to get rid of some of the bigger items now. And, I need to get my act together to lists some clothing in lots.
