    Default newborn hat

I am looking for a warm hat for a 2mo old. I want something with ear flaps and an under-the-chin tie or velcro. Any suggestions? Everything I find is sized 0-6mo and will be too big. Thanks!

    Good luck!

The closest to what you're looking for are these from Columbia:

    And

Alternately, you could try a hood/balaclava like this:

http://www.novanatural.com/woolens/wool-hood_2 (though it might be a bit big for your LO if they are small ... my DD has one and she is 50th percentile at 11 months and it's still kind of big on her!)

Last option, you could try a knit pilot cap from Hanna Andersson in addition to another hat:

http://www.hannaandersson.com/style....simg=36305_011 (we've done this for my DD, pairing the eyelet cap with another hat or a hooded jacket and it's been OK. She complains, but deals with it.)

Thanks so much for those links. I think the Columbia hats will be too big, though, since they only come in one size. The HA is a thought, though I was hoping for something warmer. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

my 3.5-month old DD likes this Hanna Andersson pilot cap (http://www.hannaandersson.com/style....simg=36305_D42) - it comes in blue, pink, grey and white as the color options. It's lightweight and made out of organic cotton. There's no velcro - just an under-the-chin tie feature.

I admit the Columbia hats run big, but you could always layer a pilot cap underneath 'til your DC grew into it.

I bought the 1st one for DD in the late Fall and she's still not grown into it fully.

Sadly, most stores' inventories has switched over to spring/summer, so this is tough!

Baby gap has some great ones but probably not this time of year as they are rolling out their spring line.

    Patagonia has this fleece one:

I have a super cute shearling-type one at home from a lesser-known line. I can find out the name if you are interested. It is my favorite baby hat - gorgeous and buttery soft.

Arivecchi- we are once again on the same wavelength! I just found that hat online and bought it moments before reading your post. I think it'll meet our needs perfectly. If it doesn't work out, I'd love to know the name of your shearling-type hat if it has earflaps (I love the idea of the bundleme hat but want those earflaps!). No worries if the hat's already put away for the season though!

The brand I bought for DS1 as a newborn is little eda. They have the most delicious booties and hats for babies!

Oh those are so cute! I'll keep those in mind if the Patagonia doesn't work out (or maybe even if it does)
