Default Dry skin, eczema & humidifiers

DD's eczema was under control for the most part till about 2 weeks ago and its started to flare up again. This could be due to DD sleeping in my parents room and they usually keep the room warmer than we do.

She had a well visit today and was there with DH, her ped suggested we use a humidifier for the dryness. But DH didn't ask whether cool mist or hot. I would think it should be a cool mist. But when she was at the docs a week back due to a bad cold the doctor(not her reg ped) recommended we have a hotair humidifier. I have no idea which way to go.

What do you use hot or cool?

    Please recommend your humidifier?

    Thank you.

We use a cool mist humidifyer. Our ped and allergist both suggested that. Ours is a GermGuardian (no filters to change).

Forgot to add that DD has eczema and non-allergic rhynitis--it does help her a lot.
