I wish I'd had the space for a full size bed. It would be so nice to be able to lie down with my children on occasion (eg. nurse to sleep when they were babies or maybe just lie down while singing lullabies instead of sitting up). We also use the twin for guests; a full would be better (though not as good as a queen). We've made due with a twin for DD's room; DS has a toddler bed. If you have the space for a full size bed, I'd go for it. There is cute kiddie bedding for both sizes.

I would defnitely go for a full bed if space was not an issue.

OT, but is it lie or lay? Please help me remember the difference!

    Sorry for the question!

Go for a full if you have the space. I grew up with a full size bed, the first time I ever slept in a twin was when I went away to college and was in a dorm!
