Default Cute clothes for Hawaii trip

We're going in this Spring. Has anyone seen any cute sundresses? Sandals? Slides? Sunglasses? Tank tops? Tops? (Both casual and dressy.)

I like these from Banana for casual wear (for hiking, walking around) but they are a really tight fit. http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse...scid=813708002

These flip flops from Clark are cute. Haven't tried them yet:

I have looked online at AT Loft, Ann Taylor, Banana, and J. Crew. Not in love with anything.

Wondered if this from Title 9 might be cute. I like the style but am unsure about the print.

I typically look good in things that have a more defined waistline. Tunics don't work for me. I am about a size 6 and short (5'2").

    TIA!

That tank from BR might be better as a layer piece. I found a dress very similar in cut to the Batu Dress you posted at TJMax for $30 it is Maxmara in a solid tan color. I think it is so cute and will look good with a cropped cardigan in the spring. They also had navy/wt stripped, which I am totally into for the spring. I've seen some fun spring dresses at Nordstrom Rack and TJMax. I've browsed JCrew and Gap online, and nothing strikes me either. I've actually seen some very cute tanks at Old Navy, but they are not waist defined. Max Mara seems to have some cute dresses and tops in a jersey fabric with nice banding on the top. I'm sorry, I did some searching and can't come up with anything that looks like what I'm talking about!

I kind of like this one, too (from Athleta). I wish these were in actual stores for trying on!

OP, which island(s) are you going to? (just curious)

This dress is cute and there's something wonderful to me about walking on the beach in a long dress

Just keep in mind when it comes to shoes, if you're going to go exploring much (or at all), your shoes may get ruined by the red mud. Now I'm going to go look at our photos from Hawaii....

Green with envy over your trip!

Anthropologie has some really cute/pretty summery dresses:

I get a lot of my Hawaii gear at Old Navy. Part of the appeal is that I don't mind throwing their tanks or skirts over a wet bathing suit- if it gets thrashed, who cares? And it's still pretty cute IMO.
and they usually have quite a bit of beachy stuff starting in the Spring.

We'll be on Oahu. DH is going for work, and I am joining him. First time in almost 10 years we'll be away from the kids for a week . . .

ohsara--I have last year's version of that INC dress from Macy's. I was thinking about bringing it. : )

elektra--love the Anthropologie dresses. Some of them are SOO pricey, though.

DrSally--I'll check TJ Maxx. I never seem to have much luck, there. Maybe Old Navy. I could really use some very casual stuff, too.

I would check ON too, they had some cute sundresses and there was a coupon in the paper last weekend for $5 off $25. Take some cash for spending at Ala Moana and the ALoha Stadium flea market for authentic Hawaiian wear. So jealous. DH and I went to Hawaii 3 times while dating and got married on the beach there. Haven't been since. Kids...

    Default Banana Republic too expensive!!

Oh my gosh Target Target Target. Forever 21 and H&M. So many cute cheap sundresses and floppy hats. Get a cute straw cowboy hat and a few pairs of comfy flip flops and a pair of loose shorts. Especially this time of year. Even in the coldest states you will find tons of stuff!!! Stuff will get sandy and sunscreen on it so just make it casual with a couple nice dresses for dinners.
Good Luck. I'm shopping for the same thing...

ooh I love oahu - I would look for sundresses and tanktops at H&M, NRack (if you have some extra time to shop), and Old Navy. I'd also bring a pair of sunglasses w/ uv protection to wear while out & about. And don't forget the sunblock. Have a great trip!
