Does your 3yo DS constant touch himself "down there"?

I am not worried, but geeze my DS is always grabbing his penis and squeezing it. ALL.THE.TIME! I know I can/should start telling him not to do this in public and its something for private time but I dont know how much telling him that is going to curb his habit. He pretty much holds on to it all the time.

As an aside, he is not circed and I wonder if touching himself feels better for non-circed boys than for circed? Not questioning my decision not to circ, but just wondering...

Having a foreskin has nothing to do with it. Some boys ( and girls) like to play with their genitals some not so much.

I have both in my house only one has been "really into it" as a toddler.

Okay, seriously though.. we have a 'rule' that if someone wants to touch themselves like that, they need to do so in private. We're *constantly* having to remind them, even my 7 year old. It's not like they're being really, um.. vigorous in their touching or anything, but they like to have their hands down their pants. When they want to.. um.. be vigorous, then they do choose to have private time in their bedrooms. But the idle penis groping is a constant issue.

My DH has explained that holding onto one's penis gives one the most secure feeling in the world. Like, Oh thank goodness, it is still there.

OMG!! My DH and I have had the SAME conversation, almost verbatim!!! I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get the "it gives me comfort" line!
