Default Dystopian book recommendations? I need to fill the "Divergent" void.

I just finished the YA book "Divergent", by Veronic Roth. I loved it! (I may have even loved it more than Hunger Games.) I am now left with a void (book 2 won't come out until May of 2012) and need something new to read. Any recommendations on YA fiction/fantasy?

I love a good strong female lead with action and a little romance mixed in.

I just finished Matched. I liked Hunger Games better but it was still a good book. I think the sequel comes out in October.

    3rding Matched.

Also, just read Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 for book club and got so much more out of it than in high school. (not a female lead though)

Not sure if you would consider steampunk but Souless was good, but out there a bit. http://www.amazon.com/Soulless-Paras...2087781&sr=1-1

Handmaid's Tale - fantastic book. Not really YA, but great, nonetheless.

For YA dystopian fiction, try Wither, by Lauren DeStefano. Loved it.

Oh yeah, I didn't see she was looking for YA in OP.

    I loved the Hunger Games!!!

For dystopian/stephen King type YA i am currently reading the Gone series by Michael Grant and it is very good...and quite dark.

    I also recommend Matched.

For YA/fantasy, I love the Cassandra Clare series....City of Ashes, City of Bones, etc. I also really enjoyed the YA series Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.

I just finished reading Crossed (the second book in Matched). Both were good.

    Beautiful Creatures series is good.

The Eternal Ones is good too, and it's second book is coming soon too.
