Just learned we are getting one very close to my house. I've never been. Is it affiliated with TJ Maxx? Should I be excited? I can't be too excited because I thought the lot was going to become a Whole Foods, but I guess that was just a rumor.

Be very VERY excited! It's TJ Maxx/Marshall's but for your house.
You're going to love it!

HomeGoods is cool. I don't go much but I have found some nice deals there.

I'd be excited. You know the few house items in TJ Maxx? HomeGoods is that stuff, but more of it. So much more! If you like TJ Maxx - you'll love HomeGoods.

We have them and love them and avoid them like the plague because I will spend money I don't need to there.
Like pp said, it IS affiliated with TJMaxx so you can use the same gift cards there. It is only home stuff. They have random baby gear and decorations, all sorts of kitchen goods from crystal to utensils to pots and pans, they have rugs and some furniture and lamps and wall decorations, pillows, bedding, towels (oh how I love towels!)
Enjoy!
around the holiday they have some fabulous kids toys! lots of M&D also
The one 30 min from us has clothing as well--it's like a traditional TJ Maxx with more home items and is much better organized and clean than our TJ Maxx stores.

I wish I had one close!

I'm pro-big bird, and I vote.
We have one about 5 miles from us. I don't usually go though. It is owned by the parent company of Marshalls/TJ Maxx. I have seen some cool stuff there like Waterford picture frames.
