Default Buying (Fashion?) Boots For a 12 Year Old Girl

I need to buy boots for a 12 year old girl. She's a women's size 7. I assume that she doesn't want snowboots but fashion boots. Was thinking of doing Costco's fake Uggs. Any other good choices? LE has cute fashion boots for girls but not in women's sizes.

I think a women's size 7 is the equivalent of a kid's size 5.5. I know I can get my foot in the size 5 snow boot I just bought for ds pretty easily and I wear a size 7 women's shoe.

Is this for a relative or for a charitable gift-tree-type gift?

If it's for the latter, I would maybe try to strike a balance between fashionable boots but also boots that would be functional in cold weather since she may really need functional footwear (I don't know what kind of climate you live in).

    Maybe like this?

This may be out of your budget, but if you're a cold snowy place, it might be ideal: http://www.dsw.com/shoe/bare+traps+e...ductRef=SEARCH

Yes that's right. Kids shoes are on the men's shoe size scale.

This is a charitable type gift for someone who lives in Chicago. Thanks for the suggestions. The LE ones are sold out in a 7. I will see if I can find the Bear Traps a little cheaper.

I see they don't have the LE ones in black in a 7 but it does look like they have the tan ones.

Thanks! Don't know how I messed that up. Done and done! Now I need books for her, but I will post about that in Toys and Games.
