ripstik - weight requirement?
Santa screwed up. DS asked for a bike or skateboard in his Santa letter. He had shown interest in the ripstik so I asked him if he wanted a regular skateboard or one you wiggle on. He said wiggle on so Santa brought him a ripstik. He weighs less than 60 pounds and can't get the stik to level out with one foot (you put the forward foot on the nose to level it out and then push off with the back foot).
Anyone have a kid that weighs less than 60 pounds that can get the ripstik to work? I don't know if this is a weight issue or just a practice practice practice issue.
He is frustrated beyond belief right now and Santa feels really bad.
We gave him a bike for Christmas and my folks gave him a pogo stick (haven't tried that yet) so he has outside toys so part of me is inclined to wait for his birthday (march) to give him a "real" skateboard and part of me wants to go see what's on sale. Money's tight which makes this goof more painful.
