Default Getting urine smell out of car seats?

This is the worst day, car seat wise. DD1 found an old thermos full of milk (eew!), opened it, and it exploded all over her and her car seat. I washed that and put the extra car seat in my car. On the way home from lunch she peed all over it. Like so much pee that liquid ran out of the seat.

Is there a good way to clean it? The foam is wet as is the EPS foam stuff.

I really want to shoot myself today. DH is in a terrible mood too, which is not helping.

This should have gone in the bitching post!

I throw the cover in the washer and hose down the rest as best I can and leave it in the sun for a day or two if possible. Hope your day gets better!
"Someday, I am going to go to bed without toys on the floor and sippys in my sink. Things will stay where I put them and I can have nice, fragile items on display. But when I do, I will look around with a wistfullness in my heart and miss the days where vibrant imaginations ran wild and there was evidence of life happening around me all the time!"

    1. wash the cover
    2. saturate everything else with Nature's miracle (in the pet isle).
    3. try to dry in the sun if you can find some.

    4. indulge in chocolate and or wine after the kids are in bed. This is the most important step!

    *hugs*

If it's a harnessed seat, check with the manual and/or the manufacturer about cleaning the straps and buckle. If you can't get them clean enough using manufacturer-approved methods, most manufacturers do sell replacement harnesses & buckles.

Definitely something w/ enzymes in it. I usually use BioKleen Bac Out because I can find it at my local (mainstream) grocery store in their organic aisles. It works well on vomit, urine, etc. IME. Nature's Miracle is also an enzyme type of cleaner I think.
