S/O Pinterest Etiquette?
What do you all think of politics on Pinterest? I ask because I have a cousin who is a FB friend and who I also follow on Pinterest. She and I have very different political views, which is of course fine. Lately, she's been pinning a lot of very pointed political sayings/cartoons on Pinterest and last night it got the better of me. I commented on one of her pins about Sandra Fluke. This morning, her FB status was about how Pinterest is getting "dramatic" and that people who don't like it should just scroll down. As far as I can see, I am the only one who has commented dissenting on one of her pins.
She's right, of course. The better response would have been my unfollowing her (or at least the board on which she pins this stuff), and I did that. But do I need to go back and remove my comment and/or apologize?
If context is important, it was a cartoon showing Fluke running past Planned Parenthood, a free clinic and her college clinic (all of which had "free birth control" signs in their windows), to catch up to Uncle Sam and scream at him "Why won't you give me free birth control!!!" My comment was that many of our current candidates and state legislators are trying hard to ensure that those other sources can no longer provide services, either.
