Default Hand sanitizer safe for babies?

We have 9 month old twins what are some natural, baby safe wipes I can use on their hands? Thanks

BabyGanics has a whole line of stuff that doesn't use triclosan or alcohol, including wipes.

I actually keep their foaming hand sanitizer in my diaper bag for myself!

J&J makes a hand-and-face wipe product, but I'm on an anti-J&J kick right now.

There's also a product by Clean & Well that uses thymol, which is the active ingredient in thyme that makes it antibacterial.

Or you could just use baby wipes on their hands.

We just use Costco brand baby wipes, they are chlorine free; if we can't get to a faucet to wash hands, but honestly I much prefer a good soap and water hands cleaning.

I know it's preferable to avoid Triclosan, but what's the problem with using alcohol-based sanitizers? Is it just because of the risk they're going to put their hands in their mouths before it dries? Or is there something else I don't know about?

They are also really tough on skin. My DS1 is 8 and if we use alcohol based hand sanitizer he gets what looks like chemical burns on his hands. I think it is eczema, but nothing else bothers his skin.

There are *many* people who experience that reaction to alcohol based hand sanitizers.

In the winter months they also really dry out hands and can cause cracks, etc. I think with delicate baby skin, the alcohol based hand sanitizers are just too drying.

And yes, there's some concern about them sucking on their hands right afterward since the alcohol concentration is like 60+% in those hand sanitizers.
