Default Sand toys for trips to the beach and park

We live a 10 min walk from the beach, so now that DS is older and summer is upon us in a few short months, we will probably start going much more often. Can someone recommend some fun sand toys for a 16 month old? Also, it would be nice if they doubled as his sandbox toys for our trips to the park. TIA!

I find CVS carries good ones that aren't super $$.

I just got some at Target. They had great dump trucks too.

The Costco bucket is the most heavy duty that I've come across and they are a good deal too.

Was also going to recommend a dump truck. That is, by far, my son's favorite toy for the park and beach!

We have the Speilstabil nesting stacker and DD has been playing with it from 6 months and still likes it now, at 2.5. Some of the cups have holes on the bottom for water to run through, others don't, so it's a nice variety. During the winter we use it inside the home and in the bath, and in the summer it can be used at the beach, pool, sandbox, etc. The watering can by the same company is also nice.

We have some Melissa and Doug ones and they are great.
Just a suggestion - write your child's name on them (or yours) with permanent marker. Kids love to share sand toys at the park and then you won't be wondering if they are yours or not when you are packing up to leave.
