Default 16th bday gift for my nephew?

Do any of you have good bday ideas for a boy turning 16? My nephew will be 16 in a few weeks, and I need to find him a decent gift (<$100). He doesn't play video games, much. He's kind of a skateboarder-type, and doesn't play sports. He's big into weightlifting and running, and goes to Gold's Gym every morning when they open before school. We usually give him money for his bday and holidays, but this bday is kind of big. He's getting a hand-me-down car from my dh a few weeks after his bday (when the new car my dh ordered finally gets delivered). We need something to give him at his party.

    Thoughts?

    TIA

I'd just give him 50 or 100 or whatever round number is close to what you'd spend. He'll love you for it!

How about a Shell gas card gift certificate? Or other gas card, not the credit card.

gas card, emergency car kit, picnic blanket that folds with handles to keep in the car, nice key ring. I have given the blanket to all my nieces and nephews at that age and years later they still rave about them.

I agree with the gas card and emergency kit idea. Also, depending on if his parents have roadside assistance, another nice idea may be to get him a AAA membership, so if he is stuck somewhere, he can access help easily. It's really nice of you guys to give him a car!!!
