Anyone buy into these? I am following Dr. E's oral care system and she remarked that time you brush you reintroduce germs/bacteria into your mouth from your toothbrush. Yum.

You will never have this day again with your children.
Study their little faces and feet and hands. breathe it in.
Enjoy today mama, it will be gone before you know it.
Don't know - I've often wondered if these are worth it or just another gimmick. Would be a good thing to get with the $25 off $75 drugstore.com code from another thread if it's working.
Toothbrushes can go in the dishwasher to sanitize them.
Boiling water is an effective way to sanitize toothbrushes.

I have one, it came with my soniccare toothbrush. But I think it's unnecessary and produces more anxiety than it alleviates. I certainly can't tell any difference between a sanitized and non-sanitized toothbrush. And I seem to have survived the past 36 years without worrying one whit about it.
DD - barely 5
DS - almost 3
We have a UVZ Health Systems wall mounted sanitizer. It was worth the piece if mind it provides. I'll do anything to keep DS's teeth out of the dentists office. We have very little space in our bath so it serves as a holder too.

Mama to a curious daughter born in May 2006 and a persistent son born in July 2008.
I can't coordinate boiling the toothbrushes twice a day...too busy and they have brushes in each bath (up and down). No dishwasher. I don't see it as alarmist. I have a mouth full of fillings, dd1 has had two already and I have one 2mm pocket in my gums. I'll do what it takes to keep the bacteria down/away. Just wondered if they were hokey or effective.

I think that rinsing the toothbrush in the original antibacterial Listerine will do the job (we follow a modified Dr E regime for DS and the whole thing for DH and I). We just pop the toothbrush in a little cup of the Listerine for a few minutes while we finish the rest of the routine then rinse it and pop it up somewhere to dry. I have considered one of these sanitisers but haven't got one yet.
Crunchy Brit mama to one little trigglet - 03/2010
