    Sounds like you would have equity in the home to pay for any needed renovations/additions. So if everything else is a win - you have the ability to change the things you don't like!

    We're already short on time so I didn't want any projects. I also didn't want to plan on a move any time soon because I hate moving. DH wanted one house, and I wanted another. Same floorplan, but mine was a bit bigger with tile, crown molding, granite countertops, larger porch, back deck etc. I wouldn't have been happy in the other house without upgrades, and I know that we never would have finished them. We've had enough bad experiences with contractors just doing the projects that we really HAVE to do (like replacing the roof and a/c as they age).
