My thoughts go out to your family and I hope everyone recovers as soon as they possibly can. Thank you for your updates and your information.
I can't imagine all you are going through. My thoughts are with you. I signed the pettion too. Keep getting healthy to all of you.
DS remained stable all day today. We made it home about an hour ago. He was in good spirits and happy to be home. Soccer friends of ours brought over an amazing dinner, which was so nice to come home to. My girls gave me the best hugs ever. We will follow up with the specialist in a couple of weeks to review the latest blood work and to develop protocols going forward. I am just starting the research on the mitochondrial disorders which is complex, a bit overwhelming and sometimes scary (i.e. it can be progressive or on a lesser note may impact DS' ability to participate in sports which he really enjoyed before Lyme). One day at a time.
ETA: Thanks again to those who have signed the petition! I will re-post in a separate thread tomorrow. I have thought of starting a blog, which would be a great way to organize my research. No books for now.

Never argue with an idiot. He'll bring you down to his level, then beat you with experience.
Just now seeing all of this. My thoughts are with you and your DS. P&PT that he stay well and that the mitochondrial specialist has answers for you. You're an incredible parent and advocate for your DS!

I just saw this and so glad you are home and your son is doing better. You are doing a great job, it has been a tough year on you all. Take care.
Sorry I just saw the thread and I signed the petition too. I'm so incredibly sorry you all are going through this. Having your child ill is the hardest thing for a parent. I'm glad he is getting better so he can at least go home.

Happy to hear that he is doing well at home and I signed the petition and posted it on my facebook. The blog would be wonderful . However, I also totally get that you are swamped right now. Maybe it would be therapeutic though, knowing that you are helping to make a change and educate. Anyway, if/when you get it up, you know that we are your biggest fans!
