Default Where do you buy shoes for young walker?

I'm looking for a B/M store where I can buy some shoes for my 16mo. I'd prefer not to buy them online. I'm interested in pediped, pedoodle, see kai run, etc. Our Nordstrom's carries mainly Stride-Rite. Thanks!

I've always bought my kids shoes online, but small boutique kids stores are good places to try on Pedipeds, SKRs, etc.

You could try an independent kids shoe store, but the couple I have been in have had just one or two brands for new walkers. I have always bought online.

Do you not want to buy online because you would like to try them out first? I am sure you can return, especially if you purchase from Amazon. Otherwise I would see if you have any baby boutiques near you. I always buy online.

I don't know of any national stores beyond Nordstrom that carry a good assortment of kids shoes.

Even in my fairly large city the independents don't carry a big selection. I like Piperlime or Amazon for good prices and easy shipping/returns.

Nordstrom no longer carries SKR. We checked. They carry Stride Rite now which is really annoying because there are a gazillion Stride Rite stores everywhere already. I always order directly from SKR or online. When in doubt of shoe size, I order two different sizes and return the one that didn't work. Usually, Amazon and diapers.com have free returns.

I did Nordstrom for Dd1 for the Pediped Originals, but also bought See Kai Runs from a local children's boutique. I branched out a bit and bought online too, but I really prefer trying shoes on in person when they have been sized correctly. I like that Nordstrom carries Stride Rite because I can use my Nordstrom rewards on them if need be, plus at least in my area the Nordstrom sales staff is much more friendly.
