    So sad. In The Night Kitchen is mine and DD1's favorite. I will have too look for some of his other books. We have checked out Where The Wild Things Are a few times too.

    He designed the sets for the Nutcracker here in Seattle for the Pacific Northwest Ballet - they are amazing.

    I only just saw this, but it's interesting that my DD2 decided to sleep with our old copy of Chicken Soup with Rice last night! RIP Maurice - and thank you for the many ways in which you inspired my childhood and my children's.
