Default If you don't have a Glider, what do you use?

If you don't have a Glider / Rocker in your child's room, what do you use when you read them stories?

We just sold ours and now I'm thinking it might have been a bad idea...!

DD is 2 1/2 yrs old FWIW.

    thanks !

We used a Traditional rocking chair ( a hand me down from my MiL) when my boys are infants. Now that DS1 is in a big boy bed, we sit down in his bed a read stories together.

We usually read stories downstairs. When we do read in the bedroom it's either criss cross on the floor or we have an adirondack style rocking chair in the room.

We either sit on the sofa in the play room, the floor in the kids' room, or on DS's bed. Never missed a glider or rocker, I don't think I find them as comfy as a sofa.

We spent a little more money and bought an awesome, wide, supery comfy recliner from La-Z-Boy when DD1 was born. I LOVE IT. We all do, in fact. It is the most fought over seat in the house! It is wider than average and the arms are wooden and wide and flat, so plenty of room to snuggle in.
