Default Guess we're teleporting to school today!

We have 4 carseats and one booster - 2 cars, 2 carseat aged kids. Should work, right?

It DOES work, except when DH puts the extra seat in his trunk "just in case" (just in case, what? In case you adopt a kid while driving to work?) and takes the booster out of my car to give to his parents, so I don't have to move it to their cars tomorrow.

In the grand scheme of things that I lift daily, a carseat is peanuts. Being stuck with 2 kids , 1 seat and a meeting that I must get to an hour away? Total pain in the arse!

Oh, that has happened to us before. Total PITB! Can you borrow a seat from a neighbor for the day?

I have a picture in my mind of your husband cruising for the perfect kid to fit the carseat and add to the family. That made my day.

Ugh! I hate it when my dh plays musical chairs with the car seats. Hope you got it sorted out!

Mine is too scared to touch the seats. He knows I'd flip out because reinstalling them is such a PITA.

DH has done some booster-switching-around on me too that's left me stranded, so I feel your pain. Did you figure something out? Hope a neighbor or someone came to your rescue. If you think this might be a regular occurrence, might be time to stock up on an extra booster or two . . .

As Murphy's Law would have it, my go-to neighbor was an hour away with all of her carseats - ugh!

We scootered to school and I called into the meeting - while walking DS2 home from school. Not ideal!

Try the bubble butt booster seat - it blows up, so no storage issue. We use it to get 3 across in my car more easily on car pool days.

Or hit DH over the head and tell him to never ever touch the car seats. DH knows not to go near mine, oh, I mean DS's car seats.
