I agree, what university is that? I have never met a single professor that could be described as having chiseled anything... unless it's a goatee.

LOL. So, not to totally go off on a random tangent, OP, but it cracks me up that several us are so caught off-guard by your description of the professor.
As someone who works at a university, I have to say I'm surprised to hear how put together this prof sounds. The ones I see are so schlumpy (sp?). It's not just that they are out of shape/pudgy (which is fine, as I am, too!), but it's also the lack of fashion sense. Think Cosby Show sweaters and khakis. Even the younger ones seem like brainy absent-minded professors. Bad haircuts, dorky glasses, the whole shebang. I don't even see goatees--that would be too hip!. I think the discipline and immense time it takes to get the PhD, publish, get tenure, etc. means that few of them have time to care about their appearance.
Anyhow, hope the date goes well! Describe what he wears, as I'm totally curious about his fashion sense now.

You guys are so funny.
The professor is good looking but I think the fact that he is such an involved, loving dad makes him more appealing.
However, I dubbed him, The Professor, because he did have some professor-like qualities. He tripped over his words at times and some of his questions came out a little awkward. I am hoping it was just first meeting nervousness.
Mr. Big is completely different. He is smooth, confident, well-dressed, and sexy as hell. But he is emotionally unavailable, flaky, and plays head-games. Not worth it in the long run, I know. The problem is that while he is a complete dud in the relationship department he completely hit it out of the park on our dates that it makes my dates with other men a bit of a let down. I will just have to work on it...
You are 100% right. Thanks. I know that and I just needed to hear it again. I don't want to be one of those woman who is ok being treated poorly or ever settling for what a man is willing to give me versus what I deserve and want in a relationship. On to bigger and better.
Fingers crossed, fingers crossed, fingers crossed
