    Default Stroller for August

    Hi there!

We did Disneyland for DH's block leave before Iraq last year and drove so we took our Bob stroller and it was awesome. This year, we are headed to WDW in August (only option thanks to the Army) before Afghanistan and I believe that we definitely need a stroller. George is not a huge walker and will still be 4 when we go. Plus, the heat will tire him out easily.

The trick is that we're flying this time. We're doing a week in NC (where we fly into) with my parents and then driving down to FL for a week. I'm tempted to take the Bob again due to easy of use, storage, etc, but, because we're flying, DH says rent or take the Mac.

    WWYD?

    TIA!

I wish we had rented when we went to WDW in December. DS was almost 4, so we used the stroller a lot, he got tired, took a few naps. We took our Chicco Liteway, which has a lousy push with a heavier kid, and on top of that the airline damaged it. The damage was not visible when we got it at the gate, but the frame was a bit bent and that made it almost impossible to maneuver, the front wheels kept getting stuck. Rental would've been cheaper than replacing our travel stroller. Next time I'm renting a BJCE for the parks.

A good push and storage for me plus a more comfortable kid makes vacation better for me. I could not push a Mac around the park all day, I can't even stand pushing a Mac for short trips. So I'd either rent what they have there (BJ's I think?) or bring the Bob. Consider the rental cost vs. flight hassle tradeoff.

When we do DL I'm planning to bring our double jogger because that's where the kids nap best and what I can push most efficiently. For 4+ days of walking I think it will make a huge difference in my experience. But we are driving so don't have the flight issue.

We took our Mac Techno (used CL purchase) to DL. Flew from Portland, OR. No issues with damage to stroller. Used it every day we were in DL with DD, who was 4.25 at the time. She rode in it from our walk to the hotel, etc.

Worth it to me to have it with us......

If you rent, can you take it out of the park? My understanding was no..... might influence your decision.

You can rent from private companies outside of the park as well like this one: http://www.citystrollerrentals.com/D...r-Rentals.html

I would just take the Mac or rent something like the above. I would definitely get stroller hooks though to maximize storage on the mac (and throw some weight in the basket to minimize tipping.

That's for the park strollers, which IMO are awful and $$$$. But you can rent a BJCE or BJCM from an external company, they even drop it off and pick it up at your hotel. http://www.orlandostrollerrentals.com/ And it costs less than the park rentals.

anyone know if a 3rd child can sit at the end/footrest? I know w/our mountain buggy double (not sure if I want to lug that w/us) that we have, our oldest can sit at the end on the kickboard. wondering if we can do that or do we need to also rent the stand board.

Rent! We were there 2 weeks ago and rented when we realized it was cheaper to rent a stroller (off-site) for a week than buy the stroller bag that we'd need to take our BOB. And this way we didn't have to lug it through the airport or worry about the airline damaging it.

The big stroller rental companies are orlandostrollers.com, kingdomstrollers.com and babywheelsorlando.com. We rented a Baby Jogger City Elite and loved it! A little big on the tram, but absolutely doable. I would absolutely rent again!
