I assume you've already discussed moving in with the grandparents until you find a place and it's not feasible?

Oh man you all have been through the housing ringer! It's so tough when you're looking in a smaller area and inventory is low. If our house ever sells, we will be in the same boat as our target area is tiny. Hang in there, and I think either the 5mo or 9mo short term rental is the way to go for now. Don't settle on your house dreams. As you know, lots of stuff can be changed, but location cannot be changed.

Good luck! Good for you though for not "settling" on a house that isn't exactly what you need nor want.
