Default Updated! How good is Athleta CS?

    Update!

So I called CS and they DO have one in stock in my size and the same color - THE LAST ONE. LOLOL. She also gave me the 20% off (yay! because I originally bought a day or two before the extra 20% off), sent me a coupon for 15% off, and will send a shipping label to send the defective one back. I think I'll wait until I get the new one before I send the defective one back...just to make sure I get it and it fits the same and there aren't any holes I got SO many compliments on the skort today that I want to make sure I end up with one!

    -------------------------------------------
I am so disappointed! I've only worn my new scramble skort for one day (sitting in front of a computer all day) and there's a hole in the mesh shorts! It's not even at a seam - just a hole in the middle of the mesh that would easily get bigger with wear. It might have been there when I got it, but I just didn't see it until now.

I love the skort and I would probably keep it if it's not an option to return it for another one (because I know they probably won't have another in my size in stock).

Would they knock down the price if they couldn't replace it? Anyone have any experience with Athleta CS? This is my first Athleta purchase and while I love the skort I'm disappointed at this quality issue.

They will take anything back, even if worn multiple times, at anytime. I don't know if they will give you free return shipping though.

aw sorry to hear about the hole in the mesh shorts!

anyway, i've dealt with Athleta CS before (to do an exchange on a few items), and it waspretty good. But i've never had to deal with a defective item, so I don't know how that works. In my case i had ordered two dresses and wanted to exchange them both..one for a different color and the other i wanted a different style all together. I called them and they said it was no problem... they were able to order me the dresses I wanted instead right away (so I didn't have to wait until they received the returned ones first, which was nice). I did not have to pay for return shipping bc it was an exchange.

Anyway, I'm sure they would let you return it (even if tags are removed, and it was worn already) and not have to pay return shipping since it was a defective item and they are at fault. But I somehow doubt they'll give you a partial refund for it if you want to keep it (but i guess that's worth a shot?)

Yeah, that's the thing, haha. I'll call and see but I'm afraid that they won't have another one in my size for an exchange, in which case my options are to keep a defective item for which I paid just as much as someone else who didn't have a defective one, or returning it and being left without the awesome scramble skort (which I could probably get on ebay...but without the return policy).

Glad to hear they're pretty good. I need to call tomorrow. They sent me a wrong item and I'd like to send it back and get my original item, but really don't want to have to pay return shipping for their mistake! Hopefullly things will go smoothly! Good luck OP!

I've always gotten great service. I've made two returns due to defects and they've given me free return shipping both times. Once they were able to replace the item (although you end up placing a new order, not an actual exchange so you pay current prices), and once I just sent it back for a refund. You need to call them to get the process started. I doubt they would let you keep the item and give a partial refund - either return and refund or keep as is.

I don't have experience with Athleta CS, but just wanted to let you know that once I had a similar problem with a LE bathing suit. I loved the suit, but one of the straps was sewn on wrong. Of course they were sold out of my size and color so the CS rep said she could give me a partial refund for the defect if I wanted to keep it (the strap was easy to fix). So maybe it's not out of the question, just ask. gl!
