    Default Anyone know of non-toxic face paints?

    someone introduced DD to face paints. Now she wants some. ANy non-toxic options?

    I don't know if it is "non toxic" but this is a great book/kit to teach how to paint the designs on

    Lyra? I would think they might be a safer brand. (eta: I just checked the report from safecosmetics and they were not one of the brands tested. They may have been tested at a different point in time though).

    this blog has DIY instructions, sounds...potentially messy and a pain, but maybe worth considering http://blog.biggreenpurse.com/biggre...ce-paint-.html . This has recipes too.     Someone commented on that blog that all 10 brands tested by safecosmetics contained lead. I don't know how much that worries you. Obviously lipsticks, etc. tend to contain it too, so I think it is going to be in most pigments. I'm not sure though.
