Default Will Frozen be in theaters a long time?

I never go to the movies anymore so I'm not familiar with how long big animated movies stick around. I'll have my mom over in 3 weeks, can I reasonably expect to be able to have her take the kids to Frozen?

I think how long a movie is in the theaters depends somewhat on how successful it is.
Frozen seems to be VERY successful so that's a pretty good bet.

I'm hoping that its still at a theater near my friend on New Year's day so that we can take our kids together.

I'm sure it will still be in theaters but it may not be as easy to find in 3D.

We went this week and there were only 4 showings if it at the local multiplex. I was surprised given that it's Xmas week.

I think its unlikely that it will still be out in three weeks, it's already been out for a month.

I would say it is unlikely to still be in theatres in three weeks, but you may find an odd showing or two.

Iffy. Some movies though will linger as mid day weekday only showings for a long time. Ds2 and I have seem lots of movies after their prime at first run theaters that way.

It will completely depend on the market, but I am pretty sure in your metro area it should still be in the theater. In my area it will most likely be but I live in a general metro area with 8M+. It was playing at every major theater.

If it gets nominated for any Academy Awards it will hop right back into the theater even often in areas where it has already been and left, and the nominees are announced on January 16th.

It was the #2 movie this past week so I would say that as long as it doesn't start tanking it should still be somewhere near you in two weeks (although the numbers after next week will dip a bit because of school starting). Heck if your lucky it could be at a bargain theater, but guessing not on that one so quickly.
