DS1 was 4y1m in his BLVD 65 and met his limit by height and DS2 was 3y7m and met the limit of his seat by the 35lbs rear facing--he still had about 1 and 1/2 inches left.
DD is still rear facing in DH's Ford F150 in her brother's old BLVD and she's almost 3 but very petite (only 26.6 lbs). She rear faces in a Clek Foonf in my Oddy with tons and tons of room to go (leg room too).
DD1 we turned right before age 3.5 when she hit the weight limit (old 33lb limit seat), DS hit the RF limit on his when he turned 3 (old 35lb limit seat). DD2 is 28lb and almost 2.5 with a 40lb limit seat, so she's got a long time left - I'm guessing we'll have to turn her due to height not weight as she is tall and skinny.

DD2 rearfaced in the RA 55 until 2, she was about 35" tall IIRC, and then until 2/1/2 in the BLVD 70, she was 36" tall by then.
I honestly could have pushed for longer in each seat and she probably could have made it to 2/1/2 in the RA55, but DH was tired of bonking her head on the ceiling of his 01 Corolla when he was getting her out, and I was fine with him turning her around because she was 2 yrs. old. In my car we turned her around as we felt she was ready. Not the decisions most people here make, but they worked for us.

DS2 turned 2 in February and is currently RF. I don't have any immediate plans to switch him, though I imagine I will within the next year at some point. So far he hasn't complained, and while it's starting to seem a little snug, I'm not at all motivated to switch him around. In my case DH takes his cues on car seats from me and I don't think he would suggest FFing. DS2 is relatively big (he was 29 lbs at his 2 year well check, so I imagine he's somewhere around 30 lbs now), but not super tall-- which is the opposite of DS1. We turned DS1 much earlier, not knowing as much about the safety issues. I switched him to FF when he was 19 months, and I was the last person I knew IRL to turn their kid. But that was years ago and I think people know more about extended RFing now. At least, I do.

About 2.5 in a Marathon.
for Sandy Hook
3y4m in a Marathon. He was a peanut.
The Biscuit RF'd in his RA55 in DH's car until 2 yrs, 3 mo or so. He was over 36 inches tall (with a long torso) and almost 36 pounds at that point and even DH had trouble lifting him over the sides into the seat.
He's still RF in my car in his Radian and DH and I are battling over whether to turn him (I say no and he says yes).
