I don't think there will be a sale because you get a free lunch bag right now with your purchase. I just ordered ours a little bit ago.

You might be able to get free shipping if you put the backpack in your shopping cart and leave it there for a few days. Some people have gotten emails with free shipping codes after doing this. Worth a try if you can wait a few days before ordering.
