    Default ISO Kitchen waste container

I'm looking for something that closes on top. And takes the Kirkland 13 gallon kitchen bags. And that I can leave out in my kitchen. Any favorites?

Many of the hefty ones on walmart.com have decent ratings

I wanted something like this but it will be too small, so I figure I will need to leave the trash out, not under the sink.

This looks like an amazon favorite, but it's pricey

Simple human semi-round 13 gallon trash can. We love it. You can lock it too!

I made an emergency trip to get this one at Bed Bath & Beyond (with coupon of course!) the last time my family was here and I realized that 2-y.o. DGD2 was NOT safe around a non-locking trash can! It's been great. I splurged for the Simple Human bags but I'm sure others would work fine.

We've had both the touchless and a similar simple human. Getting them from Bed,Bath, and Beyond was key. With the first touchless, which we loved, but at some point (year+ later) it died. BBB replaced it with another. Same thing happened. Granted, we really enjoyed not having to touch to open it! They gave me credit and I got the 13L/50gal semi round Simple Human one in Stainless. A year+ later, the finish started to wear off, and it never looked clean. BBB returned it and gave me credit for it, let me use a coupon, and I upgraded to the mac daddy. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stor...uman+trash+can
It is awesome. So easy to scrape plates into it, tucks nicely against the side of the fridge, looks good, holds a ton for our family of 5 with tons of guests. Seems absurd to spend that much, and although I didn't, I totally would again. The plastic ones that size are probably great too. Just figure out how big your can needs to be and go from there.

I've had this one for years (10+) and it has held up very well - it locks, has a foot pedal, takes regular kitchen garbage bags, has a slim profile so fits many places, and is not super expensive:
