I agree about the app!
When we went, DS was 40" if you counted his hair! They did measure him. Since his head brushed the bottom of the height bar, he was allowed to ride. You don't have to be taller than the height restriction, but you do have to meet it.
ABSOLUTELY Fastpass Toy Story Mania! Without the Fastpass, that can be a very, very long wait! Roller coasters are shorter lines close to closing, but during the day, go for the Fastpass. Really, if you use touring plans, they'll tell you which rides need the Fastpass. We found the plans, and the ability to update them as we went by using the app, invaluable!

They give an idea of which rides you should fast pass, as well as a good general order to go through the parks.-Kris
