I just wanted to say thanks for all the advice and sympathy over DD's diagnosis. We're about a week into meds (very low dose focalin) and it has been amazing. She is soooooooooo much happier, so much more focused, can enjoy playing with barbies, no longer in trouble every day and is having a blast at school! It's been a life changer. And we upped DS meds at about the same time and everyone (at least this week) is getting a long so much better! Mornings and evenings are still rough (as the meds exit the system and before they kick in) but over all it is amazing!

Such good news!!!! I know many people have a hard time putting their kids on meds, but it really does make a HUGE difference in some cases. The hard part is finding the right one for your child, which can be a long road of trial and error.

That's great news! While we are struggling with the ADHD meds, we had a very similar experience with putting DD on Zoloft. It was such a big step, but it was absolutely the best thing we could have done.
