Just got through three weeks of holidays and kids off school. Now that we are back into a routine I need to get back to my daily organizing. I finally have a few minutes to sit and actually write up a list. As you can see most of the disaster area is the office. It's become a catch-all area as we are figuring out where to put other things. Now that the rest of the house is mostly done, I need to get the office organized.

Friends, I haven't done as much as I've wanted to but I am SO thankful for this challenge. I have tackled some real problem areas and solved some organizational puzzles that were bugging me. The best part is that some of the projects from the first couple days have STAYED done. This is the best system I have had yet for our homeschool materials. I also got very motivated and did the girls' room over the weekend. Huge relief! So thank you for helping to motivate me!

Just checking in...after a week's absence... Where is everyone in the challenge? I'm checking in to mark off day 17. Maybe 18 if the caffeine kicks in. The spaces that are done make me smile.

I'm back in today. I'm only on Day 12. I had planned on being done by Thanksgiving. Not going to happen! I'm working in the basement today and it's a big mess. I hope to make a good dent in the pile of things to sort through.

I'm with you, Melaine. My areas are staying done pretty well, too.

I keep getting caught up doing other things that need to be done - sorting through kid clothes to get winter stuff out and having them try things on, decorating for Halloween, etc. But, some of that has been much easier because it overlaps another area that is already done. So, decorations were in the labeled drawer in my closet. Easy enough! In past years, I knew they were in the closet, but would have had to dig.

Unfortunately it has been so long that a couple of items (my desk and kids' bathtub) have reverted back to their original mess. So I had to un-check those But, I did accomplish a few days' worth of work over the holiday break, some of which weren't on my original list (WTF? I forgot about the entire upstairs?) so I added them. I'm now technically on Day 8 (but my list is more than 40). Definitely plowing ahead...I'm also well on my way to 2015 items for 2015!! Have gotten rid of close to 1000 items already over 3 trips to Goodwill. Gave away SO MANY OLD CLOTHES. It hurt, because they were really quality pieces that are still wear-able today (Silk JCrew Sophia dress, anyone?), style-wise, but they don't fit me anymore and I don't have time to consign...so...some size zeros are going to be really happy with their Goodwill finds.
