Default Car seat advice for a friend

My friend's DC is in need of a new car seat. Age 5.5, height is 47 inches, I am not sure of the weight but average build..the main concern is height as current seat (Graco convertible) maxes at 49 inches. My friend says the harness is too small. She does not want to go to a booster yet, DC still sleeps in the car and she feels better with a harness. Any recs? Budget is a concern, but I don't know how much she can/is willing to spend. TIA!

We have a Frontier 90. I believe it's the seat that can be used to the greatest height in harness mode, but I'm not sure about that.

The britax pioneer is also very tall, but it also depends on how much longer she thinks she'll be harnessing, any of the 18" combo seats may be fine - can she get a torso measurement and a price range?

I bet it's the Graco My Ride? If he's been in it since he was little, that was the one they sold back then. Evenflo Secure Kid has taller top slots and a roomy crotch strap and nice headwings.
