I did look this up as well, but besides the age range being most common in young kids, most of the info says "the child only urinates small amounts of urine at a time" and "the child may urinate at night but not to the extent of the daytime frequency." DS's frequency and output are definitely increased at night, more than what he's dealing with during the day. Last night he was up to pee 8 times before midnight. So I had kind of ruled this out too.
Leaving for the doctor's now.
Sending lots of support your way. Please update when you get a chance.

That sounds really upsetting. Hope they can get to the bottom of it and that it's something easily treatable. Wishing him the best.

I think it's T1 Diabetes.

Finished all the blood and urine tests, including the A1C, and dropped him off at school. His doctor is also sending him for a kidney and bladder ultrasound at 5pm today. We probably won't get the blood and urine test results till Monday though.
The doctor also saw me yesterday for my miscarriage follow up and I should get my blood results back today to see if my hcg is back to zero. When it rains it pours I guess.
Oh my. It is probably scary to think of what it "might" be. The good news is that it appears your doctor is taking it very seriously! I can't speak to any other ailment, but I am very familiar with type 1 diabetes. The most important thing is that your doctor is doing all the tests. Was the 120 on a glucometer or from a blood draw? Glucometers are allowed (per the FDA) to be up to 15% off so it is possible that his blood sugar isn't elevated at all. I'm sure that is why they are having you do blood work today. I will say that DS1 was over 600 when diagnosed and DN (dear niece) was over 300 when they were initially diagnosed.
I do hope that you get some answers soon. I'll be watching your thread and sending you prayers and positive thoughts!
