    Default iPhone photo help?

I've noticed recently that the majority of the pics I take with my iPhone have been out of focus. I'm really frustrated by this I use this as my main way of taking pictures. Any phone photog experts with some advice?

Any chance the lens is scratched? Mine have a certain "haze" because my lens has become scratched up over time.

Okay, maybe this is dumb, but have you tried cleaning the lens?

Before taking the picture, touch the subject of the person or thing you are taking a picture of on the screen. That would focus the picture.

Ok, I've done both of those things. I've noticed that after I focus the picture it almost immediately becomes unfocused. I'm guessing because I'm usually taking pics of my kids and they're constantly moving about.

I am a similar issue and find that my lens is constantly refocusing because I think my arm/hand is moving just enough that it keeps going in/out of focus. It's so annoying. It'll focus and just as I snap the picture it goes out of focus and that's what is captured in the image. So frustrating.

Exactly. I don't want to carry around a separate camera but I'm starting to feel like all my photos of my kids are going to end up blurry. I do get the occasional good one, usually outdoors in good light. But there are so many bad ones.

this is why I carry a separate camera. I want decent photos vs. easy and quick.

Which iPhone do you have? The 5s was a huge improvement for me compared to the 4s
