Default accident & replacing car seats?

who knows about car seats/accidents? From what I know, according to Britax, w/ANY type of accident you're suppose to replace them right? so if I'm not at fault, their insurance going to pay for me to get 2 new britax seats? what a huge headache! ugggh!!! I Was side swiped and the passenger side has some scratches on the bumper, door and of course my sliding door on the van. what a huge PITA!!! Nothing worse no matter how small the accident to shake you up and ruin the start of your day.

    Here are Britax's recommendations:

Looks like the seat by the sliding door at least needs replaced.

That being said, I ran into a pole a few years ago and it was considered a minor crash. However, my insurance said that in our state they are required to replace car seats no matter what. So I got two new seats. It really wasn't a pain at all. Very easy. I just bought what I wanted and then submitted receipts.

Sorry it happened and ruined your day. I hope you guys are all ok!
