Default vomiting, fever and now hives? Should I take him in?

So I posted DS started vomiting yesterday morning and threw up off and on all day. He hasnt thrown up since last night around 8. He was very restless last night and had a fever but seems way better now with a dose of ibuprophen and has even been eating pretty well. suddenly, a red raised bump or hive looking like a angry a mosquito bite appeared close to his mouth. I don't see any more. Should I go to weekend clinic (after hours)? I'm a little freaked but this doesn't sound like measles or anything does it? DD1 has had post viral hives before but it's usually later in the illness.

    What do you think? WWYD?

Yes I wold. I might have him tested for street as well. My DD1 had no vomiting or fever, and had a weird rash on her stomach and face (we thought the face was eczema) and then all of a sudden her throat was sore and she ended up with strep.

the only thing I'd be very concerned about is MAYBE the hives depending on how bad they are. benedryl for sure. How high is the fever? are the hives spreading? DSs both get/got bumps (more rashy dots vs hives TBH) with viruses when they were younger.

Also wanted to put out the possibility of an ibuprofen allergy as a cause for the hive. My allergy to ibuprofen emerged as hives after YEARS of having no problem taking ibuprofen.

I really doubt that it's measles. It doesn't look like pics I've seen of the rash. Is it itchy?

Measles usually presents with pink eye like symptoms, and the rash appears inside the mouth first. So I would very seriously doubt measles. I would take him to urgent care though. Any sort of vomiting plus mouth rash concerns me as a food allergy mom. (Even with a fever.)

DS had these same symptoms in the same order and was diagnosed with scarlet fever in August. I would definitely seek medical attention.
