    Default Narrowest NBB?

Conventional type - not ridesafer vest or bubblebum. It's for 6.5 ds, 50lbs, outboard in 2011 nissan altima next to recaro performance sport in center (grandma's car). He's currently using the RSTV but it's getting a little snug on him, and if we could squeeze in a regular booster I think that would be easiest - not sure they could handle the bubblebum. It's on the driver's side side where he can't unbuckle the center seat. If nothing will fit I guess I can do bubblebum.

I think the Harmony Youth seat ($13-ish at WM) and maybe the Amp are narrowest. We use an AMP in a 3 across situation, center.

cosco topsider is also very narrow. I can fit 3 across with either 3 of these or 2 of these and a convertible. just curious why no bubblebum? is it not as safe as a "regular" booster?

A BubbleBum is just as safe, but, just guessing from my own experience with it, the belt guides are a PAIN to deal with, you really have to fiddle to slide the lap belt into them, it can be a lot of work and hard to do in a tight place. Good news? The new ones have *easier* belt guides! Should make the seat a lot better to deal with.

Also seconding the 'try the harmony or top side' advice, and 'amp might work too' advice, and if it's a total no go, splurge on the newest BB with the easier guides.

Yeah, I was thinking no bubblebum because I don't think my mom & DS could figure out inflating & the belt guides by themselves, but if they're better now I may just get that one.

Oh, and the harmony is the "youth booster" not the "carpooler" model?

Yeah, the Youth Booster. Technically it's a walmart exclusive, though I think people resell them on Amazon for way more than $12.98. Carpooler is also the Cruz, I think, it's a lot bigger. Oh, linky is helpy... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Harmony-Yo...-Seat/28848233 TopSide is now at wm, too, and cheaper, weird...http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cosco-Tops...ingMethod=p13n Also there's the new Dream On Me Coupe, a tech at Car-seat.org likes it for her kid, that's good to know http://www.walmart.com/ip/Dream-on-M...-Seat/28856514
